Baked pear crumbles make a delicious treat!

Ingredients (serves 6)
- 6 small pears, halved, cored, or 4 large pears, quartered, cored
- 90g (1 cup) rolled oats
- 75g (1/2 cup) plain flour
- 55g (1/4 cup) caster sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 80g chilled butter, chopped
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Place the pear, cut-side up, on the lined tray.
- Place the oats, flour, sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the oat mixture until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle the mixture over the pear. Bake for 40 minutes or until crumble is golden and the pear is tender.
Notes
Serving tip: Serve with bought vanilla custard or vanilla ice-cream.
